About the Job
Our Brand Strategist is responsible for ensuring a consistent and competitive brand experience for all work related to our clients’ marketing lifecycle. They manage the brand strategy, brand narrative and the creative strategy for their portfolio of clients, ultimately representing the brand experience layer in the customer journey.
Our Brand Strategist will find ways to further enhance the branding of a product or service, as well as develop marketing initiatives in tandem with other team members through analysis of current consumer and market data / trends. However, the Brand Strategist will focus more closely on the position in-market, weaving the overall brand experience principals into each touchpoint.
It’s critical that our Brand Strategist has a strong aptitude for consumer research and can understand the importance of a fluid customer journey. They can develop positioning recommendations, guide market research analysis and define brand elements and tone.
Always working to think and elaborate on the why behind the brand, the strategist is responsible for understanding where to invest in the customer journey, and how best to represent what our clients have to offer.

- Work alongside the Director of Brand to manage client brands—ensuring all touchpoints best reflect experience principles and position in-market.
- Ongoing consumer research and competitive analysis to understand trends and opportunities for further brand exploration / evolution.
- Develop and refine the brand experience layer of our clients’ customer journeys
- Align brand strategy with overall client objectives, including lead generation, increased website traffic and brand awareness
- Work alongside copywriters to develop and manage brand messaging guidelines for all production teams, ensuring consistency in-market across all touchpoints.
- Elevate brand products and content efforts to better align with both the customer journey and industry trends
- Take leadership of brand strategy for all assigned brands— working with cross-functional teams to drive the winning results.
- Manage and test ongoing brand sentiment, awareness or ENPS scores for each client.

- Experience building and presenting brand and/or marketing strategies for budget approval or executive buy-in.
- Experience using market research tools like Survey Monkey, Google Surveys, and/or hosting and facilitating focus groups or ethnographic reports.
- Working knowledge of digital, social and CRM platforms like HubSpot, Pardot and Google Analytics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience driving lead or performance growth through various marketing channels.

- Culturally in-tune and aware of industry and consumer trends.

- 4-6 years in a professional digital marketing, advertising or creative communications setting. Experience in an agency environment is considered an asset.
